Hey guys,

I outsourced some article submission backlinking 2 months ago and as yet there are no links showing up in the Yahoo backlink checker or Traffic Travis from this source... I know that SEO takes time, but surely after 2 months there should be more than a couple of links showing - or are we looking at more like 6 months to a year for these to show?

2 months is more than enough, however do remember that most article directories are dead - disapprovals, no deep indexing etc

depends on the sites too. if this is the ones you Pmed me about, it could be that they just arent showing all of your links. I have 10 times the links built that google shows on almost all of my sites, and Yahoo is a little better but they still dont show them all.

James - I understand the whole - search engine not showing the backlinks thing, but surely the page should still be beginning to climb the ranks, backlinks showing or not?

Or is it more a case of, just because the competition has 600 backlinks showing on Traffic Travis, they probably have 50000 behind the scenes?

@Chris,

Don't expect rankings to change on basis of one round of article submission or anything similar. Google discounts most of those links. Also, are you sure that your submission was done? The best option is to setup a google alert or search for title of the article in quotes

It depend on search engine algorithm so no one can knows about that.

You could use Google Webmaster too to check out backlinks.
It usually takes about a month..but that of course depends on which site you're submitting links to.
