Article submission timeframe?

I have just finished writing 20 articles. Is there a recommended or suggested timescale over which I should submit them to the article people or could I send them all on the same day for instance?

I'm looking to submit these 20 articles to as many article sites as poss, and from an similar earlier question a while ago, guess this is OK with the SEs...

I would put them on your site first, then once they are indexed, add them to directories at around 1 per day. This will help build your links more naturally.

Submit to free directories or use a service like article marketer or isnare... also submit to ezine articles... if they are articles you also have on your website... wait until your pages are indexed and then do it.... i still recommend a slightly different article for distribution.

I may be being a bit dim here... please can you define "indexing" as I think my idea of what is is may be a bit off target.

How do I recognise when my site, and its additional pages are indexed?

getting your pages indexed is when the search engines discovers your website, files them in their database to be included in search results.

To check to see how many of your pages are already indexed insert "site:yourdomain.com" (without the "") in the se's query box

does that make sense?

Assume I copy/paste articles straight into my web designer, then save each one as "article.html"... in order for them to get indexed.

As long as they are linked to by a page that is already indexed, they will get indexed eventually.

I would change them up a little bit if you are using other people's articles.

I just use my own articles. Don't have to worry about duplicate content when they're all different :)

PC, How does that tell you if your pages have been indexed?

Will the indexed pages show up like a natural search engine format?

Thanks,
Randy

If google has found them, then they will show up as normal results. Try it and see :)

Hi Sean,

I did try it and heres the confusing part.

I have done nothing to try and get my site indexed. I have not submitted articles or posted
in a blog with a link to my site......nothing at all and........

All my pages show up!! Even the pages that have nothing on them yet.

I typed in site:mydomainname.com

Can you get indexed without doing anything?

Thanks,
Randy

Hmm, google can't just find sites out of thin air, the googlebot needs to find it somehow.

Maybe you posted your link in a forum that gets spidered by google, or someone else did, I don't know.....

Your right Sean,
I did post in a forum.....I forgot :)
I actually thought it was a private forum but it wasn't.

Very good news though as my site is now indexed :)
