Trouble doing keyword search in Inventory Overture
Anybody having trouble doing a keyword search in inventory overture :?:
I've been trying all day today and it always give me back no results. I even tried common searches like windows xp and still no hits. Just wondering if it's only me or a wider problem :?:
Ciao for now,
Ajay

Try these tools:
Google:
http://www.google.com/webhp?complete=1&hl=en
http://www.google.com/trends
Goodkeywords V2 is quite good:
http://www.goodkeywords.com/
but also this which is free too:
http://www.nichebot.com/
and other KW or research tools I’ve picked up from here and there
http://www.digitalpoint.com/tools/suggestion/
http://www.webuildpages.com/search/
http://www.marketleap.com/siteindex/default.htm
(broken links removed)
http://www.keywordlizard.com/index.cfm
http://searchenginez.com/keywords.html
http://www.keycompete.com/
also
miss spell tool
http://www.searchspell.com/typo/
I have dicovered for sure that research is the key, most just do inadequate research. Market and kw research is critical so that you can.
identify a hungry market with money to spend
discover exactly what that market is hungry for
find and give it to them ... presenting it in their terms ...
HTH

nice to dip in now and again but other than keeping an eye on this forum and my ongoing anticipation at WA i have pretty much had to get really focussed as i have very little time to apply to IM, and thus my time has to be very effective ...
it's really coming together though ...
if you haven't dropped by the WA forum in a while you really should - some incredible info to be had, but then i guess from reading your posts you and adrian are going more for SEO as per teachings here and in the master plan which is cool ... it is all about choosing your path and focus ...
my plan is to grow my PPC business to a point that i can reduce my full time business efforts (traditional) AND then get deep into longer term larger sites using the MP and stuff here
hope you guys are keeping well and coming along
Speak soon :)

Say hi to Kyle and Carson for me though, those two helped me out when I was feeling pretty hopeless about the whole situation.
Hope things keep going well for you Terry,

I thought it was just me and Traffic Travis that were getting the cold shoulder. :?
I tried all the sources fed by Overture and they've all been dead for about a week now. I just found this link, apparently our beloved Overture IS GONE! <looking for the crying emoticon>
Ode to the Yahoo (née Overture) inventory tool Article
Which is going to render all of my keyword tools useless
 :?

Create a free account with overture.com and log in and then start using the tool.
Or
http://freekeywords.wordtracker.com/
Or
https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal

I also have a NicheBot 2 account I guess I'll spend some time learning how to use that. I've just been lazy working from an older keyword list that I saved.
Here's more news on the subject from WebProNews.com
Overture Keyword Tool Still Alive…
…According to YSM. In case you missed it, there were some reports going around that Yahoo nixed the popular Overture keyword tool. Because of the perceived actions on their part, Yahoo was ripped by some bloggers, the most notable being Aaron Wall.
Now, thanks to a post from SearchEngineJournal’s Loren Baker, it appears as if the reports of the Overture keyword tool’s demise were premature. Evidently, the keyword tool has become so popular; the webpage it’s located on is prone to timing out. A quote from Loren’t post reveals more:
Unfortunately, the responsiveness of this free tool is diminished due to the sheer volume of hits it receives each day, therefore browsers may time out and error pages may appear but it doesn’t mean that this tool has been removed.
The YSM team goes on to indicate they plan on keeping the tool active until they can come up with one that outperforms the current installment.
What I gather from that is that there will be no changes until they find a replacement - but still I've been trying and no response.... I guess everyone else is too

Some of the tools referenced in one of the above posts rely on the Overture Tool(I believe Good Keywords is one of them). Other than that I would definitely be moving away from relying on that tool.
I will definitely miss it... :(

I'm not sure if Mark addressed it in his blog but due to the changes in Yahoo Sponsored Search they are saying it is going to be replaced by something with a graphical interface like Google Trends.

There are no plans to remove the overture keyword tool. They are planning on revamping it.
Adrian,
