Multiple Ad's in Google

Is it OK to place multiple ad's in the same ad group? In other words I make ad's in groups of two (same title but a difference in description) with keywords that are getting the most impressions, about 4 to 8 ad's. Does this help or hurt an adgroup or campaign?

hey Griff, are you talking about split testing ads? If so, thats a great way to increase your CTR.
