Multiple backlinks in your author box?

I didn't want to make a definitive statement about this so, instead, I'll pose a question to the forum.

Does having multiple links in your author box (including anchor text) give you more backlinks? In other words, I'm I benefiting more by pushing the envelope and amming as many links as possible in the author box or does it not matter?

while more backlinks is obviously better, backlinks from the same place (i.e. IP address) dont have as much value, and google puts extra emphasis on getting backlinks from related sites that use good anchor text

but absolutely take what you can get :)
