I paid a Psychic for business advice

A lot of people don't believe in this sort of thing. But for the life of me it makes no sense that I could have so many clicks on ShareaSale but no sales. The psychic said I was getting cheated out of commissions. There is of course no way to prove it even if it turned out to be true. The psychic said I should replace all the ShareaSale links on my site with something else. I have a lot of ShareaSale links.
I mentioned the Amazon and House of Staunton links on my website. I was told that Ebay is a better deal for me than Amazon. I haven't signed up with Ebay. I was told that House of Staunton is honest. They won't try to cheat me out of commissions according to the psychic. I have only one click on House of Staunton affiliate links.
I am currently trying to get an email marketing campaign going. But I don't have it set up just yet. I am having terrible problems with the Aweber word processor. It won't put the images where I want them. It keeps jumping around instead of displaying the area where I have the cursor. It keeps changing the font size on the text.
Are others also having problems when creating drafts for emails at Aweber?

Hi Kelly,

I'm sorry to hear you're having difficulty with using the Aweber system. I suggest you get in touch with Aweber support directly and let them know so they can work on resolving the issue with you.

It's up to you if you want to believe in what they psychic says about you being cheated out of your commission. You can track clicks with the various affiliate networks you've joined, including sales and commission due to you.

Please keep in mind that clicking on your affiliate link does not earn you commission. People who click on these affiliate links need to continue and purchase. It's when they purchase that you get a commission off that purchase.

Please let us know how you get on. All the best!

Also check the cookie period of your affiliate products. You can still get paid for your sale if the visitor that has earlier clicked your link comes back after a few days and buys the product. Thus the chances of getting cheated are very minimum. It is important in affiliate marketing to repose absolute faith in the business partner. After all it is a win-win situation!

Hi Kelly,

From your other thread it looks like you've had less than 100 clicks on your Shareasale affiliate links.

It is way, way, WAAAAYYYYYY too early to be saying that you must be getting "cheated" out of your commissions. You've only had 44 clicks! We would normally say that (on average) 1 in 100 clicks will turn into a sale. But this varies wildly based on the kind of traffic you're sending.

I have pages that will send thousands of clicks without making a sale. That's because those people aren't really interested in buying what I'm promoting.

I have other pages where 1 in 20 clicks will turn into a sale. These are people who have specifically searched for a product review for this specific product.

I haven't had a very detailed look at your site, but before you start jumping to conclusions you really need to look at how people are arriving at the pages with those links on them, and have a think about what they're looking for. (If you're getting search engine traffic, use Google Search Console to see what keywords they're using to arrive at your site.)

The psychic told you that you were getting cheated because that's the only way the psychic (with no knowledge of affiliate marketing, online marketing, etc) could explain "lots of clicks but no sales".

What's more likely is that your traffic is not targeted, and your sample size is too small to start drawing conclusions from yet. If you've had 4000 clicks and no sales... THEN we might start digging down and seeing what's really going on. But not yet!
