I know that viral marketing works basically for money making
and entertaining niche.

These two niches are greatest for viral marketing on the internet.

I think also you need provide video what is all about - without
video your viral marketing will be very slow or even dead.

Another thing what I see it works best on social networking and
social media sites - people share links with others as excitements.
So it becomes not just fake clicks and can produce amazing numbers.

Have you even thought to create effective viral campaign for
your business, what your experience and knowledge for that?

The thing with viral marketing is that it is never up to you what goes viral. high quality content that is really engaging is the only thing that will do it, Once you let it go, it is out of your hands.

the better you know your target market, the higher your chances are of hitting them so hard they have to share it.

Just having sharing options available isn't enough. you have to have content worthy of sharing first, and most affiliates are simply too lazy to do the work that takes.

I think without video, viral campaign will not be successful in most cases. Do you agree?

not true. video is just one tool that you can use, but it is not the only one. The best viral marketing is simply really great content, whether it is audio, video, or text. but it is hard work and takes a lot of practice to get right.

websites in stumbleupon are example of these i think.. i spend a couple of minutes stumbling until i find something worth sharing in facebook :)

I love stumbleupon, digg, and other bookmarking sites. often, by joining their groups with related topics, and building some friendships that I share info that I find around the web, I get good responses when I bookmark my own stuff. but don't just do your own. I recommend doing 1 of your own for every 10 that you submit.

Viral marketing is tricky and takes a lot of work which is why most affiliates do not go for it. It's more difficult to come up with a unique angle or twist to it too that would fit your niche, target your market and make it share-worthy. I'm not saying don't go for it or don't do it. That's entirely up to you, but go into it with full knowledge that it will not be easy.
