This may sound like a poor question but what ways can you generate sales from facebook? Do you just go around posting your site on peoples walls or is there more to it? Also what ways do you use for twitter and other social sites?

Hi Paul,

You need to create valuable content that will help people in your niche. Seek them out, then over deliver. Occassionaly mention that more info can be found on your site, but don't hard sell. Hard selling on these sites is worthless, you will waste your time and your reputation.

Hello Paul, posting your products on your wall or other peoples wall (as comments) is considered spam. Facebook is a social site, where people want to connect. A good way to tap into that is to set up a Facebook page with interesting updates, and invite the visitors of your site to"like" your page. That way, your updates will show up on their wall, and in the news feed of their friends. That is what you want to tap into.

i tried them several times and never got huge results, only few sales here and there and few cpa offers, i think it is beter to build niche site and work on seo.

Create business fan page, and update others about your deals and products or services, if you sell something then use facebook shop now store and add your products online,
remember: "Content is the king" so your attractive content when ever you want to aware some one about your products.

You need to create a personal page first and have as much of your friends, colleague and family within your network. Once you have that set up, you can then create a business page for your niche and suggest them to your target market so that they will "like" your page. It is only when they like your page that they can see your posts and updates on your business page.

You have to constantly update your Facebook page to maintain your presence in Facebook. You also have to add value to your network too, otherwise, they might take your page off their preferences.

Since the title you created has etc... I will post my thoughts. I do a lot of video marketing and I mean A LOT! Try this....

Create a good video and get it viewed a ton. I always copy tags from the top video in the area I need to market to and then I get a good description with a CPA call of action. I have said it before but I have made great money doing this this way. I create a great video then add a call to action in it. I then attach the CPA offer to the description and make money. It works!

The real secret is trying to submit tons of good videos to a ton of video sites not just Youtube. I am working on something that will do just that and do it well...

The key is numbers and good videos. A good video will get the traffic you are looking for.

When your starting your face book abit of advise make sure the page you create is a business page not a normal profile pg, the difference is: with a business pg you can "like" pages on profile pages you can "poke" people n be friends. If you set up a profile friend page n FB find out they will close your account down without warning. Also, READ the TOS because FB has just changes a few rules recently, it of a bummer. The changes will affect affiliate links wer people place them.

The best way to generate traffic from these sites would be to get involved in communities. You can set up a wall in facebook. However, you have to make your presence known to others. There is heavy emphasis on the Social in Social Networking

i only use Facebook and this is they way to get traffic on facebook,
share your website link on facebook and forward it to all your friends, with a comment on some new or innovative product or service that you are offering. your friends will open the link, and if they are interested, may forward it to their friends and may contact you for further details. this way, your link gets shared, commented upon, thus getting more visibility and traffic.

Just promote your site on facebook, twitter, linked in etc. You will get huge traffic & visitor from there.
