Hi Guys,
I would really appreciate some feedback on my website howtoincreaseweight.com as it is not making me any money whatsoever. I have a little survey on it that gets dozens of answers everyday so I know they are at least doing something on there. I am promoting an affiliate product from clickbank and also have adsense and a separate ebook package that I am selling cheap....It is number one on google.com for the keyword - how to increase weight - so I have done the seo well enough...this site has not made one little cent!!!!....ZILTCH

ANY IDEAS, HELP, SUGGESTIONS, ADVICE, RECOMMENDATIONS ETC ...PLEASE?

In your all in one seo title I would use the maximum of the 60 letters, you should try and target about 2-3 keywords in your title it will give your site more chances of ranking for other phrases. Unfortunatly as I'm my iPhone I can't view your page sources.

Hi Sammy,

There too many Adsense adverts on your website. This could be one reason why you are not getting any sale. The links on the right-hand sidebar are too small. You might want to make it bigger so that readers can see what other articles you have.

The site is too busy
Ads above the fold scream junk
A series of 500 word articles with aff links just does not work anymore, they will use for info and move on
People are visual show graphics with small descriptions that make up your 500 words for the page
You have between 2 and 5 seconds to capture attention

As you said they are there for weight gain, show them how to do it
As for the survey try a bribe of a free ebook to get their email instead

I see you are using the wordpress theme socrates.
Can this be manipulated to get rid of those top adsense ads?
The adsense ads are everywhere..

The only thing that I did not like is the ads by google in your site.

It really anoying and I recommend you to use much less of them or
just remove them. I think site organization is pretty well and also I would recommend
you to add share features on the site in facebook, twitter and so on.

The pictures are really inspirational. I would also recommend you use pop up
wisely with special offer.

If still no results, your audience just is not targeted for that, change your traffic
sources.

Hi there,

Just an opinion from a potential buyer. You've got some great content on there, there's a couple of things I think could be improved in terms of appeal:

The first thing I see is ads. Not only that, but there are heaps of things competing for my attention and the buyer can get confused as to what to click first. What I think could be improved is having less options of what to do initially. If you've read "The Science of Influence" by Kevin Hogan, more choice actually makes people more confused (ironically). So it's better to have the perception of 2 choices, rather than 20 if that makes sense?

What might work is a clear set of instructions that are the focus - Click here, enter name and email address, get your free report. Something like that.

The other thing I might alter is the header - How To Increase Weight. It's a little hard to read the red text, and the text doesn't have the kind of emotional impact that would 'grab' my attention. Maybe the picture of weights in the background can be changed to a ripped muscle-man, the kind that your customers might want to be like?

And there's an awesome paragraph you have further down the page that I think something like this would work really well near the top, ie

"Let’s face it; nobody wants to be skinny and weak. Deep down everybody desires the ripped, muscular physique of a UFC fighter or an NFL running back. That’s the kind of look that attracts the ladies and earns respect from the guys. But the question that perplexes many of you is “how do I get that look?”

That paragraph is Gold, if it was my site I might use that at the top.

There's a couple of spelling errors as well here and there, but I think the content is absolutely great. I just think you need to hook them in to want to read further, and you can do that by making a bit more of an impact at the beginning. My 2c :)

Hey,

1. I would Definitely remove the absence, its taking too much important space on your site, which can be field with categories , articles, and more related products.
Design is crucial, you should really work on it,change the title color, font, i would make it black , no "!" , just respectful and short.
The red sentence above, i cant read it, im not sure anyone can without trying very hard.
I suggest-remove it and put it under the the tabs.
2.Where is the call to action? Put a buy now button next to the product.
3.Squeeze page- offer people weekly tips, gather some emails, send offers.

How are you? How's your site doing these days? I visited it just now and was surprised to see this block of ads right after the header. I must say it's a big turn off. I have to scroll down your site to get through the content. You might want to place these ads on the sidebar instead so that your articles can be higher up the page.

Google has added an algorithm recently which targets sites that are heave on ads above the fold. I suggest you change the layout of your website, or change the position of the ads.

what little content is on this site isn't bad, but when you read it. you realize, its all nothing but sales pitch. no value, all comercials, and nothing but in your face with WAY TOO MANY CHOICES!!!

I personally woudl Ditch ALLL the ads and put an email opt in form at the end of all the articles, make the articles longer, and add some value to them. give the readers 2 choices. sign up for your list or leave your site.
