Hey Crystal,
We've set the middle of September as a tentative launch date for the beta version. It'll be available to everyone who is currently a member, so you guys can go in and play around before all the rabble start invading ;)

Hey Aletta, I'm sure that everybody is anticipating the new Affilorama opening, which is just a few weeks away.
So what are the new things that old members can expect aside from new video lessons? Can you give us more insider information, even just a sneak peek?

Hmm, well, from a web designer's perspective I can say there's less grey and it's been designed for 1024 x 768 screen resolution :)
We're also sporting a new "groovy tools section" (which may or may not be called the "groovy tools section") with some useful stuff. Some of it will be old-hat to experienced affiliates, but we've got some fancier stuff in there that should get you guys a little excited. Mark was particularly keen to put the article compare tool to use, so it must be good.
I can also say that there's going to be more community aspects than in this current (old) site. We're giving members the ability to build up their own profiles and promote their own sites and interests, so that should be pretty interesting too.
Oh! One more... I've given smilies the boot on the forum. Hah! Malevolent laugh! Y'all have to wink and grin the old-fashioned way: With semi-colons and capital-Ds :D
Better get back to it!

As long as you keep the picture of the spoon on your nose the site will still be A-Ok LOL

Hmm, I don't know if the spoon pic conveys an appropriate amount of gravitas going forward into the new site. I need something with a little more dignity befitting my position as... the person who turned off the smilies...
I have a great picture of a monkey on a typewriter that could do the trick. ;)

Haha, I think we have a sort of smiley hangover here... you try to paste some PHP to someone and it turns into a whole bunch of winks. It also makes things hard to read because your eyes are automatically drawn to the smiley.
It was kind of an undebated unanimous decision: "Should we turn off smilies?" "Yup".
But like I said... this is going to elevate you guys to a whole new level of cool, cos you get to learn how to write smilies like we did in the old days. Like back in the nineties. And the nineties were rockin'.
