Hey Guys,
Brett McFall from the World Internet Summit rang me today and invited me to do a seminar in Melbourne early August (about 450 people are attending).
I've never done a seminar before, I've only taught people via these lessons, and one on one in person, but think I could do a good job. I don't think I'd be a great public speaker, but I think I'd get someone from the audience to participate in the seminar (similar to my 6 part mini course), and give people a quick overview of affilaite marketing, along with a few valuable tips. (basically the 6 part mini course live)
Anyway, I haven't said yes yet. I told brett I'd get back to him in 48hours. What I want to know from you guys is what do you think?
Is this a good idea? Do you think a live version of the 6 part mini course would be good value as a seminar?
I'm not someone who ever wants to do regular seminars, but I think it would be good life experience. Perhaps it's something I can do once in a while if I got comfortable.
Anyway, I'm very interested in your opinions.
Mark

I vote yes for a purely selfish reason!
I live in Melbourne and it would be wonderful to meet you.
But to speak at the seminar would have to be your decision- will it add to what you're doing? will it benefit you? will it benefit the audience? [I don't know what the summit is about]
It's an honour to have been asked. Congratulations.
If you want to - go for it

Yeh, my vote maybe slightly biased too. :)
But seriously, I reckon it would be a great opportunity for you.

Hmm.. I'm thinking about not doing it. I'm thinking there isn't enough time for me to prepare something that is as polished as I would like for a seminar in front of 450 people.
The other option Brett suggested was for him to interview me on stage and pull the knowledge out of me. What do you think of that idea?
I am very busy with these lessons I'm preparing, and am not sure if it's a good idea. Hmmm. What do you think about the interview idea?

Hi Mark,
I think you should go for it. The interview idea sounds really good. Even if you don't want to do seminars in the future it will be a great experience for you.
Not having time to prepare is probably a good thing. It will challenge you to ad lib a bit and react to the direction the audience is going in. Based on what I've seen and heard from you in the videos I think you'll do really well.
Good luck with whatever you decide.

Just kidding, you know how much you can handle. You need to do what ever you're comfortable with. We're behind you.

Hi Mark,
I would go with the interview route. You would not have to prepare
for it. You just answer Brett's questions and maybe audience questions.
It would be a good experience if you have the time to go.

Hi mark,
I saw this post yesterday and what you have written here were my thoughts also i would love to see the 90 day plan you were talking about.
Hmm.. I'm thinking about not doing it. I'm thinking there isn't enough time for me to prepare something that is as polished as I would like for a seminar in front of 450 people.
I was also wondering how you would successfully adapt the 6 lessons to the stage presentation.
There is also next year- imagine a bigger impact for you and affilorama when it is much larger and a great online success!
In the end you need to work out what the benfit to you will bee

Hi Suzie,
I am working hard on the 90 day plan.
It is on it's way, I am working on the other 12 lessons at the same time, and also helping with various members website critiques. This in itself takes about 4 hours a day. I am right on it though and will have these 12 lessons together by the end of next week as promised.
It hasn't helped being sick at the moment.
That's a good point of yours with regards to the seminar. My focus at the moment is on getting these new lessons, and updates to traffic travis online by the end of next week.
Actually, how about I get the 90 day plan together by friday, and then re-record it again (if necessary) once I've done the other 12 lessons?
All the best,
Mark

Hi Mark
This would be a good start for your first seminar presentation, plus it would introduce affiliate marketing to a lot more people helping them make extra income from the internet.
Ever since I found out that you were making so much money from affiliate marketing, I was thinking why isn't this guy on the stage teaching this stuff?
Kind Regards
Dean
