Clickbank's new colors

Am I the only one who is less than enthusiastic about Clickbank's new colors?

The've gone from their white and blue theme to a red/green theme and it looks... well... different.

Maybe I'm just set in my ways though!

Consider this, police wear blue, the background of most news stations is blue, the background the president uses when issuing a press release is blue, ... why? ... Because psychologically, blue instills trust in the person's mind.

So why did Clickbank change their colors then?

Maybe it doesn't matter, they are super-big anyway.

I'm keen to hear your thoughts!

Hey Mark,

I like the new style. I was ok with the old one two.

It seems that they also improved the site's navigation, so it's great.

It looks to me like they got hold of one of these color palette generator programs, hit the "random" button and used the colours without any thought about proportion.

Each section is now screaming at you for attention. My eye keeps rushing to the yellow bar, because yellow is an "alert" color. And they haven't changed the colors of some of their other sections, so there's still a fair whack of blue in there!

It's not just grumbling because "something has changed" .... it truly is awful.

You should tell them, Mark :)

I've been there quite a bit today working on my product decision. Until I saw this thread I really didn't think much about the colors.

Now that I go back and look at them, not familiar with them previously, let's just say they are not very "appetizing." Their page looks like a pepper salad, red, green, and yellow.

Interesting observation, I must say.

I love the web 2.0/blog template look of it and the red but not sure the lime goes with it. Would I wear lime and red... never!

Plus there is something about that yellow bar that takes your attention away from the page - for me it was that counter flicking constantly, stopped me from reading the front page.

They definitely aren't going for subtle tones thats for sure!

Better than the really old, I think it was, bright green and puple sales bar and boring brown pages. But I agree with Mark. Blue is better.

The new colors don't bother me as much as the new constantly revolving "dollar counter" on the
upper right hand corner of the home page. It draws your eye right to it, and away from everything
else. Oh well, I don't spend much time on their home page anyway.

They also changed the way they create hoplinks. You can no longer just read a hoplink and figure out who the players are. There is a magic decoder ring though.

Hey Mark, I have to say that I don't like the new look at all. Red?? Ick. I think blue is more soothing to the eyes. Red is like an "alert" color. Not quite sure what they were thinking.

I think the colors are terrible, they've gone from looking like a quality establishment to looking like a mom and pop business.

Hey Guys!
This might just be a rumor but I've heard that Wells Fargo Financial has something to do with the administrative side of Clickbank...payroll etc. Maybe they are behind it all...I'm not sure... The new Clickbank colors are the Wells Fargo Company colors but it might just be a coincidence. I wish everyone the best of luck on their projects...Kudos to Affiloblueprint!

Somehow I like the new colours as being more web 2.0 style. On the other hand I agree with Joyce, that it is now more "looking like a mom and pop business". Guess it will be hard to satisfy everybody when you change something that had been around for so long. Besides if we like it or not, it had been time for a change to the design anyhow. The old look and feel had been a little too cold and conservative in my opinion. ;-)

I prefer the old colour scheme.. but prefer the new picture rather than the iStock ones.

Although, my favourite part of their site is Main Menu of your account when you see the earnings :D
