I'm a newbie. I want to get into affiliate marketing, but I came across some post in this forum that concern me. People were talking about how their affiliate sales have been going down lately. They thought it had something to do with the latest web browsers like internet explorer 8 disabling or deleting the cookies that Clickbank uses to track your affiliate sales. Along with the latest Antivirus/adware/spyware programs which could be doing the same- deleting the cookies. So, even when you make a sale you may not get your commission if the tracking cookie was deleted from their computer. I sent Clickbank an email to ask if this is actually happening or not, but somehow they managed to reply to my email without actually answering my question- go figure. So I will just ask here in this forum. I would appreciate any experienced affiliate marketeres responding to this post. What has your experience been? Are you seeing a noticable decrease in sells? Do newbies like me have anything to worry about? Can you still make money in affiliate marketing?

Honestly, you will see those threads every day. one thing that you have to keep in mind is that the people you will see in the forums are people who are looking for help, aside from the few people like myself who are here to help others more than to learn ourselves.

Yes I have known a lot who are still doing this type of job and yes Affiliate Marketing is still an area of making money online, it is still the fastest possibility to make prompt income via web, but it is both simple and complicated to expect your success in making money through this marketing approach. It takes to distinguish the right knowledge, the right bits and pieces and the right enthusiasm, aside from this it is also important to know what kind of system that works for you, and that depends on what product your affiliate programs are offering, something your site visitors to click through. You can do well by gaining the links from reputed and well established websites, for the reason that a good websites are something that immediately draws the attention of online retailers, aside from gaining all of this; patience and determination is needed. Stay focused and you’ll reach the success.

I actually have the same concern. I know AB has been around for sometime, could it be possible that this strategy is now getting saturated, and it's actually harder to earn now?

Affiloblueprint has been around for some time now, but the lessons in the course are still current and relevant. It provides you with the knowledge on how to build your site and then send traffic to it. From then on, it's your call on what niche to take on, what keyword/s to use, SEO, etc.

Affiliate marketing is still lucrative. But do not enter it thinking that it is a quick and easy way to make money. Going into affiliate marketing is like going into business. You set up shop and WORK on getting those sales.

I am going to put every spare minute into this I can find, and persue this with every fiber of my being untill I am makeing 6 figures a month on auto pilot while I sit on the beach drinking margaritas and istening to Jimmy Buffet all day.

You can't saturate the internet man. It goes on for ever like the universe.

thank you for your response. I can see you are very passionate about this :) How long do you think websites we make now will continue earning? :) I have no projection for it since I have not read about the matter / i'm not that exposed to it. My ultimate goal is to gain passive income and I know that affiliate marketing is one way to do it. Do you think though, that working on this now will continue to bring us passive income until the time we retire? :) just trying to gain some insights here...
