Another Google algorithm change
Google did some more Panda tweaking last week. You may find more info on this on Google's official weblog: Page layout algorithm improvement
Apparently it was a page "layout" update. They don't like big ads placed above-the-fold instead of content.

Google is trying to enhance user experience by ridding its SERPs with sites that are littered with ads and not providing any value to users. It is certainly annoying to come at a website and only see ads and with a little bit of text that did not provide you with the information you were looking for.
Google said this will effect only a small percentage of websites. There's nothing to fear as long as you have good content on your website.
Have a good day!

Lol, I agree with them that sometimes there are sites that have little valuable info and lots of banners. However they could start to do something about their own user experience. SERPs . Right now if you search for some competetive terms its filled with adwords ads google places and google product search results. 30-40% of the results can be google "banners". It's true what they say but they are quite a bit of hypocrites too.
Luckily there is adblockplus plugins for both Firefox and Chome so you can enhance your own Google Search experience from too many ads ;)

That's a good point and I agree... but hey, it's their own SERPs and they are their own search engine so there's nothing we poor folks can do but follow. :)
