Where can I sell my affiliate site?
Hi Everyone,
Okay, I'm ready to make some changes and I have a website I need to sell. I already know about DigitalPoint and Warriors forum. I have actually contributed an ebook to the warrior forum and was known there years ago but now I have to start over. I have to wait 14 days to sell in digital point and not even sure what I have to do to sell it on Warrior forum.
I thought about Ebay but it seems to be flooded with domain names and websites that are pure crap for sale so I'm not sure if that's a good place as I have a reserve price and don't want to spend money when the reserve is not met.
I really want to sell this site asap. If anyone here has a DigitalPoint account or good standing in Warriors (if allowed) and would be willing to put my site up for sale there for me, I would pay you a small fee to do so. I will wait 2 weeks if I have to, but I'd really like to sell it now. It makes a nice affiliate income every month which I can prove. I am going to only ask for 8 months of the current monthly income and I hope to sell it fast.
I also noticed there are a few websites that actually sell sites but I have no idea if any of them are worth using. I don't want to have to pay a huge commission for this sale.
Thanks for your help,
Smuigal

There are a few different sites that you can both buy and sell your site.
Try either www.sitepoint.com or www.buysellwebsite.com.
As for how much you can get for a site, it can be anywhere between five times and 12 times the monthly revenue (after expenses) depending on how long its been going. Usually its the monthly revenue times 12 (to get the annual income).

Sitepoint is highly recommended but you may also sell your site on Sedo and on forums like Warrior and Digital Point.

Thanks everyone. This is very helpful. :) I'll try the most recommended first and if it's not sold by the time I qualify for digitalpoint, I'll try there. I was thinking of selling it for about 8 months revenue, but perhaps I'll try to be more patient and sell it for 12. The fact is they will make their money back and if they worked on the site seo they could increase it quite easily.
Thanks again,

Hi,
For the price you are asking, I assume it is making $300 a mth.. or thereabouts.

Troy

Actually the last three months it's almost made $400.00 average but since this month is not as strong, I wanted to lower the price and consider $300.00 x 10 months. Everyone's pretty broke so I don't expect anything, but if theres no interest I'll just keep building it up. ;)

Hey, that's a nice site and strong stats. Good deal for someone that has the initial cash to throw down. I've been looking at a lot of sites for sale on flippa and you wouldn't believe the junk that people try to sell.
Good luck man!

Thanks E.
Yes, it is a really nice site. I'm still working on it to build backlinks and make it more valuble. I would not sell it but for the two new projects I want to do that will require more cash then I have now, and I'll have to promote the heck out of them once they are live.
