Just a fun question, what would you do with the money if you became a millionaire? I would invest it somewhere so that I can get some good amount of recurring income back

If I was a multimillionaire, and guaranteed a steady strong source of income (my dream goal basically). Then I will first make sure all my family are living well and all good, then pursue my passions and dreams. Travel around and use my money as power to build churches/schools/houses for people in developing countries. Supply education and mainly "opportunities" to those places and kids and people in countries where they don't have what I have here in Australia.
Another thing I'd love to do is help out the homeless and kids who are living in disadvantage homes here in my home city. And try to expand from there.

yeah, me too.. but not really a school, more of a training center to hone their skills, or a motel whichever comes first :) eerrr.. a shelter is what i meant.

You don't need to be a millionaire to live free, travel the world, and love life. I left the States in 2002 and never went back. Since then, I have lived in the Philippines, Thailand, Korea, and China, and I have travelled a ton around Southeast Asia.

I have no schedule, no boss and no worries.

All you need to do is...
...be debt free
...build up a comfortable savings account
...and carve out a way to make a modest living online

Chasing after millions is usually a dream never fulfilled, and you don't need a million dollars to build a school or a shelter for someone.

As a resident of the United States I would have to spend a great deal of time with my attorney and accountant or within a very short time I would be on welfare as the government will take it.

Having a million dollars in assets earning interest in today's economy only provides about $60,000 per year to live on. This would provide additional financial security but not the end all. Very little would change however that is not to say that I would refuse it if it came my way.
