Using other people's youtube videos to help make sells?
Is it ever a good idea to use someone else's youtube video to help make a sale? I have found a couple of educational and informative videos on youtube on my topic, and I think that if people could see those videos it would answer a lot of their questions and move them in the direction of buying the product I am promoting.
I know that it's probably not a good idea to link away from my site to the video, because they might not come back to my site if other things end up grabing their attention. But, I thought I might be able to embede the videos into my website.
I've heard that you can do that with your own youtube videos, but is that possible with some else's video? And if it is,
do you have to ask their permission first to use their video? Of course, I would never use someone else's video if it had a link to their website anywhere in the video or under the video. Again, I wouldn't want my traffic wondering off. But, the two videos that I found don't have links and they are not selling anything, just providing information.
What are your thoughts on this?
