PLR and Duplicate Content Myth
Hi,
I just have to share this. This info is from Alex Sysoef, an expert blogger and programmer
"Since PLR part of our business model and something that we
ourselves use heavily on our own Niche blogs I get a lot of
questions from people misguided by "experts" who never tested the
BS they spread about duplicate content!
I want to share with you a post on my blog I wrote a while ago
which still stand true and which should help you understand the
duplicate content as I have seen it from my own tests. And this is
from real life experience, not something that I heard! "
Read his blog for more info, warning : this is very technical.

like anything, its good to understand why duplicate content is a problem in the first place before addressing it with your own site.
the basic issue has to do with search engines wanting to provide the best experience for the user possible and delivering up identical content doesnt achieve that

Duplicate content is an issue with all sites. If you generate a sales page it should better be made unique. Almost all content, articles etc. that I publisch on our sites are either originally written by us or are completly re-written to a HUGE extend from private label right articles. Besides, it seems Google is still counting pagerank more than original source, when it comes to deciding which of the sites having identical content should be listed within their search engine result pages.
All The Best,
Marcel
