I have to say, you caught me - I read your post title and *nearly* went straight for the forum moderation tools :P
Just to get this clear: You want a newsletter signup box to build a list, but don't have a giveaway? You do, however, have a lot of content?
A couple of possibilities, then:
- Convert some of that content *into* a giveaway (combine several articles, spruce them up, make them easy-to-follow, add a bit of extra content not available on your website, and compile an eBook or introductory newsletter series)
- Just produce a newsletter box that basically says they're signing up just to receive future updates from you; not really as good, but should suffice in the interim (a newsletter box that doesn't convert well is still better than no newsletter box, which doesn't convert at all)
