I Got My First Sale!
This is great!
A little back ground. When I first started I barely knew how to write and send E-mail. I started researching ways to make money on line In April 2009, I bought a couple e-books that really didn't do me any good. So I started searching deeper into the subject though forums, blogs and alike. Well one day I happened to find a thread in Yahoo Answers, (I think it was) and there were these two people debating which was a better place to learn affiliate marketing- Affilorama or WealthyAffliliate- needless to say I chose WealthyAffiliate. I would have still been there if someone hadn't stolen my credit card information forcing me to cancel the credit card I had on file with WA. After 5 months of trying to sell something on line I opted to take what I had learn' t, lower my expenses as much as possible and keep at it. In effect canceling my membership to WA.
After a couple of months of going down several different roads to make this darn online money start coming in, I was getting traffic and some of the original idea's that I started with, started to get more traffic but no sells.
Two things kept going though my head, and they were both sayings by potpiegirl. ( If you haven't heard of potpiegirl you can check her out at potpiegirl.com she has a great blog on how to make money online.) anyway she said "If you can do something for a year what many people won't, you will have something you can do for a life time what others CAN'T." She also said something along the lines..."People won't take the pain of change until the pain of not changing becomes too painful." I'm sure I messed that up but you get the point.
To bring my story to an end, I was of course on potpiegirl's list and she introduced me to Mark Ling just before Affilorama's Premium launch, which I obviously bought.
From the start I zeroed in on the affilo blue print, because of my experience I skipped the first couple weeks and focused on building a niche site. I had already had a domain that had maybe 20 back links and getting little traffic and not any ranked key words. After revamping my website to match Mark's blue print I started getting a much more targeted traffic.
So, in about the 6 weeks that I have been a member at Affilorama I have gone from a chicken with his head cut off running after every idea that someone told me was the best way to make money to having two very focused web sites ranking in the search engines with consistent traffic leading to my very first sale!

I know all you gurus out there are thinking "He should have links to all of these products and start making more sells." I was just too excited, I had to get this out there as fast as possible!:)
