Aweber links in emails

I noticed today when i was sending a new (text email) to one of my list that the link does not show up in the email the same as when i wrote it.

the link i inserted is just a basic link to one of my pages

but when the email was sent the link looks like this
http://clicks.aweber.com/y/ct/?l = (lot of numbers and letters)

is this new??
it never used to look like this?

That looks like the aweber link tracking code. they recently changed to where this is automatically selected it. allowing those links lets you track when people click them, and see how effective your linking is, however it makes your links look spammy when they show up in the emails.

SPAMMY,, thats what i thought to- with just a simple webpage link- who the heck wants to click on a aweber link when your trying to inform your readers of website updates??

does not help that the link is a mile long either.

I don't use aweber, but just did a search on their help site about hiding those tracking links, see here http://www.aweber.com/faq/questions/325 ... ber.com%3F

In conjunction with the above, you'll need to complete some extra steps as outlined http://www.aweber.com/faq/questions/523 ... alytics%3F
