I have been through Ashton and Claytons blogs from start to finish, and they have both giving me a massive amount of inspiration in what they have achieved in really what is a short amount of time. For this reason I have decided to replicate them and create my own blog and challenge myself to succeed. I think its important for motivation to set yourself tough but also achievable goals.
I would love you to follow me and offer me advice and encouragement along the way.
My challenge in short is to create 6 sites in 6months and be earning an income of $300.
Follow me on the long winding road http://www.connersroad2success.com/
Thanks,
Conners

I'll keep an eye on your blog.
Remember to take a moment after you finish each website to stop and evaluate what lessons you've learned from building it. Then apply those lessons to the next site, and so on.

So far I have completed all my keyword research, Keywords have been sent to www.tbvwriting.com for article writing, and i expect them to be delivered in stages over the next 9 days. In the mean time I have bought my first domain and hosting. I have started a project on XSitePro, making sure the layout is correct, colours, adding all the pages (obviously no content yet but its all prep) etc. I have put the website online so that it gets indexed asap.
Hi Clayton, thanks for dropping by, you are a real inspiration with what you have achieved. I remember back when you started, and I disapear for 18months. You have achieved so much.
Anyway Back to Work.
Thanks,
Conners

Great blog! Love the title and the layout/design. :)
I read through your recent posts and you're on the right track. Maintaining a blog on the side while you're busy with your main project is quite challenging, but it's nice to be able to look back and see what you've gone through. It gives you a feeling of accomplishment in the times you need it most.
Keep us posted and keep up the good work! :)
All the best!

Just a quick update for those that havn't seen my blog yet.
I have recieved the first 15 articles from TBV Writing, They are all uploaded onto my web site and pages have been monetized. The other 15 will be arriving soon. I intend to add the other pages 1 every few days, so that google have the impression my site is active.
I have started building backlinks, mainly with BuildMyRank. But I also intend on doing article marketing and Daves SEO Juice package.
Once this site is up and running I will start work on number 2. For extended updates, please check out my blog in my signiture.
17 Days into the challenge, thanks for following.

I hear what your saying about it being easy, but if this was the case wouldnt everyone be doing it? and there would be no need for forums like this :-/
This is my personal challenge, and to be honest if i can achieve this I think I have done really well and have an excellent grounding to move forward.

The best way to get traffic going fast is to start getting some guest posts on popular blogs. Get your links in front of direct traffic to your site rather than doing submissions and hoping Google decides you are worthy of a few measly visitors.

There might be times that you would be discouraged and think of giving up so I would like to share a story about the Fern and the Bamboo:
One day, a small business owner decided he’d had enough. Enough of the unremitting workload, enough of the lack of response, enough of the crushing loneliness.
He went into the woods to have one last talk to God. “God,” he said. “Can you give me one good reason why I shouldn’t quit?”
The answer took him by surprise. “Look around you,” it said. “Do you see the fern and the bamboo?”
“Yes,” the man replied.
“When I planted the fern and the bamboo, I took very good care of them. I gave them both equal amounts of food and water. I gave them sunlight in spring and protected them from the storms in autumn. The fern quickly grew from the earth. Its brilliant fronds soon covered the forest floor. Yet nothing came from the bamboo seed. But I did not quit on the bamboo. In the second year, the fern grew even more splendidly than before but nothing came from the bamboo seed. But I did not quit on the bamboo. In year three there was still nothing from the bamboo seed. But I would not quit. In year four, again, there was nothing from the bamboo seed. Still I would not quit.”
“Then in the fifth year a tiny sprout emerged from the earth. Compared to the fern it was seemingly small and insignificant. But day by day the sprout grew. First a shoot, then a seedling, and finally a cane. Within six months, the bamboo cane had risen to a height of 100 feet. It had spent the five years growing roots. Those roots made it strong and gave it what it needed to survive. I would not give any of my creations a challenge it could not handle.”
“Did you know, my child, that all this time you have been struggling, you have been growing? Growing the roots that you need to produce your fruit. I would not quit on the bamboo. I will not quit on you.”
“Don’t compare yourself to others. All of my creations have different purposes, different journeys, and different timescales. The bamboo had a different purpose from the fern. Yet they both make the forest beautiful. Your time will come. You will rise high.”
“How high should I rise?” the man asked.
“How high will the bamboo rise?” asked God in return.
“As high as it can?” the man questioned.
“Yes,” God replied. “Give me glory by rising as high as you can.”
If you're not seeing results yet despite all the work you’re putting in, remember that you’re probably growing roots. The fruits will eventually come. :)
All the best!
