Just ranked a site using tiered link building

I just did a quick and dirty test to see if spun content automated tiered link building still works.

Here are the results:

Interesting, do you believe your ranking is due to all those links together or just the good ones?

How long do you think the rankings will last?

I wonder what the "white hat" equivalent with the same result of this test would be?

This does say a lot about google's efforts. Thanks for sharing data!

Hi Tankctlr,

With tiered link building its the sheer mass of links built in a structure that emulates the web. Building links to links in such high volume passes link juice down all the tiers to the money site. The Google algorithm is built around this is almost powerless to stop it despite what you hear - until the next spam filter gets run anyway.

Obviously the .edu and .govs don't harm it and a white hat version ideally would have these links plus a less spammy link profile made up of original content. Bear in mind any kind of link building is black hat really.

I don't know how long it will last. Depends when Google runs the spam filter next... A few weeks, months maybe.

Wow... not bad for an experiment..Enjoy it while it lasts. :-) Maybe I will try to experiment using your tips. I totally agree with your view about link building... no matter how we try to label our link building techniques as "white hat", the intention to build links still makes it "black hat"

Interesting....
I would rather build some real high quality and relevant first tier links tho and then aim all spammy links from second and third tiers towards these high quality first tier links.

Did you use a gig from http://seo-clerk.com or fiverr or do it on your own?
