How To Become A Trusted Affilorama Member

Every so often we add new features to Affilorama to further improve the quality of our courses, free lessons and other member content, to make sure you're getting the best you can from Affilorama!

Just a few days ago we quietly launched a new feature that lets you "thank" people on the Affilorama Forum; today I'm going to tell you a little more about it!

The new feature adds a thumbs up button to every post and reply on the forum (a lot like the Facebook "Like" feature); the button looks like this:

If you find something someone said or did useful or particularly interesting, then don't hesitate to let that member know - click the thumbs up button! Thanking your fellow members for useful comments is a great way to encourage others to continue providing even more useful information and responses!

The other half of this new feature is a new 'Trust' rating, which can be seen under the member picture in each post, and in your member profile. When a person has been thanked a certain number of times, he/she gets a new trust star (and each trust star is harder to get than the previous one - a little like going from PR4 to PR5).

This is good for you, because you can see which members have provided helpful comments most often; you can be more confident that any advice they give you is useful and worth following.

The only downside right now is that, because the trust rating feature has only just been added, no-one has a trust rating yet; I definitely encourage you to go back through all the posts you've read/posted/replied to recently and thank anyone you have found particularly helpful!

To use the feature you need to be an Affilorama member, and logged in. If you're not a member, you should join the conversation on Affilorama today!

Any thoughts about this new feature? Let me know in the comments below!

I think it's a good idea to let people know that they are appreciated. My only concern is , will it clutter up the internet more.?

Hi jdk.knake,

Thanks for your comment.

I don't think it will add more clutter. We hope that this will encourage our members to participate actively in the forums. We have always maintained that we need to give value to users. Participating in the Affilorama forums is a good way to practice writing as well as giving valuable information.

Hope that helps. Have a good day!

Thanks laszlo!

We will look at adding the thumbs up to the blog in the near future too. If there was one there now, I would thumb your post ;)

Post here at affilorama must be unique? Or I can post our articles on our website and let people here at affilorama discuss about it?

Hi al.g,

Thanks for your comment. We are referring to forum posts in the Affilorama Forums (https://www.affilorama.com/forum/). You can either respond to the inquiries or create your own post to share with Affilorama members.
